I recently stayed at Opus hotel and had a generally positive experience with a few minor drawbacks. The room itself was quite nice—spacious, clean, and well-maintained, which made for a comfortable stay.
The gym, however, was quite small with limited equipment. It was fine for a quick workout but not ideal if you're looking for a more comprehensive fitness routine. The pool was alright—clean and well-kept, though nothing particularly special.
One thing that caught me off guard was the high service fee and delivery fee for in-room dining. These fees weren't clearly communicated upfront, so I was surprised when I saw the bill. The food was decent, but the extra charges made it feel less worthwhile.
Overall, it's a decent place to stay, especially if you're primarily concerned with a clean and comfortable room. Just be aware of the extra charges if you plan on ordering room service.

Over all the stay was very nice. Valet was friendly and the bar staff couldn’t be nicer. The only issue holding back a five star review is the pillows in the room. The pillows in the room are as thick and plush a dinner napkin. I woke up several time during the night unbearably uncomfortable. With attention to detail in so many areas they hotel missed the point that travelers want a restful nights sleep. Unfortunately I’ll be functioning with coffee today and not sleep.

The Opus is simply fabulous! The rooms are bright and spacious. The hotel staff makes you feel like family and are always going above and beyond! The property is conveniently located to 287, so getting around the West Chester NY area is super easy. Nestled in White Plains, there are dozens of top restaurants within walking distance. With a spa as well on the 9th floor, you can't go wrong! Yes, there are less expensive options, but this place is truly worth paying a little extra!

I needed a safe, comfortable place to stay while attending a birthday celebration over the weekend and this is exactly what I got. Really nice for a romantic getaway, friends or family. There are restaurants, stores and a movie theater in walking distance and a great mall just 5 minutes away by car.
The hotel itself is gorgeous! Customer service, start to finish has been on point. Literally from the valet to the desk to the bartender at the lounge, I could not have been happier. There is a spa, gym and pool here. All actually open which shouldn’t be surprising but you have to ask nowadays so I’ll save you the trouble.

For our anniversary, we decided to head out of the city for a quick staycation and chose The Opus Westchester. When we got there, the lobby was packed as their system was down to a Verizon outage so they were having to check in everyone manually. We weren't in a rush and knew it was out of ours and their control, so we had no issues waiting! There were a few parties ahead of us but it only took about 15 or 20 minutes to get us checked in. A bellman helped bring our bags up to our room which was nice. Our room was fabulous. Super spacious and bright. The bathroom had double sinks, a deep tub and a shower. The toilet was in its own little separate room and it also featured a vanity space, which I especially appreciated as my toiletries and makeup didn't have to take up all the sink counter space, and my husband could get ready while I do my makeup and hair without us crowding each other. The valet service was always pretty quick and everyone was helpful and friendly. The entire hotel staff were lovely, especially considering the frustrating technical difficulties they were working through. The morning we were checking out, I did call asking for more towels that never got sent up to us, but it really wasn't a big deal. The location was also great; close to lots of restaurants, shopping, and coffee shops. All in all, it's beautiful property and we would definitely stay here again!

I have been coming here regularly for six months. From Spring, Summer, now Fall. The seasons and day of the week matter because the clientele changes according to the seasons and the day of the week.
I resisted from saying anything negative because I only visit the bar/lounge and I attended a wedding here once. I have never stayed as a guest. But I am a Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador member so here goes…
Feedback-
The wedding that they hosted and I attended- how do you mess up filet mignon? How much did this wedding cost? TERRIBLE.
The Bar-
They have three types of customers it seems-
A.
wedding parties-(then it is all hands on deck- it feels like this is their niche, especially during summer weekends.). But as I stated, I attended a wedding here a few years ago to see how they do weddings and was NOT impressed. Up to you. It is your big day. Your money. Your special event.
B. Corporate regulars who are FREQUENT guests at the hotel- They treat these people like gold- these are the professionals who are CONSTANTLY on the road and WANT to stay at the Opus and stay at the Opus OFTEN. I did not choose to stay here, many don’t, I chose another property because the staff is super nice at the other property, I get whatever I want within reason and the rooms are spacious and clean.
C. Locals or people coming from other properties- this is where they get a two star for service. I don’t think that service to this crowd is equitable. I have noticed a couple of occasions where other guests were put off by the service that they observed while they were guests at the bar/lounge. I took note, didn’t actually write a review until a guest took it upon themselves to openly address the issue today because it was just so BAD. Then when I went to speak to the guest that had set off the whole drama to apologize and extend an olive branch he (a permanent resident) stated that he wanted to apologize to ME because his complaint had actually nothing to do with me and everything with the fact that the manager had “shushed him” on a previous occasion so he sent her after me and boy did she come for me- not once, not twice, but three times. He then proceeded to ask me for a recommendation for a physician and we got along quite well. I am a people person. But I will say that I have observed people bouncing around the bar high off of “life” (I am a physician I know the signs) and nothing was said to them. Again, I question the equity when it comes to service with this crowd.
I will say that one of the bar tenders Joel is REALLY good at maneuvering sticky situations. The manager, not so much. I guess some people are meant to be “people facing” and others in the office.
I only come here because it is two blocks away. I come when I don’t feel like driving the SIX MILES and 15 minutes to Greenwich, CT. Or Rye. Otherwise I wouldn’t come.
I moonlighted as a restaurant critic after college. I know what to look for. It shouldn’t take a bar tender 15 minutes to pour a drink after THEY ask ME if I would like something else and I take them up on the offer.
Not impressed.
Three stars because it FEELS like a THREE STAR establishment despite billing itself as a five star establishment.
shragy drillick
worst service. didnt bring up drink as they said they would. no sodas sold. wouldnt send up uber eats. and this was over 500 dollars a night. not great lighting in rooms. as an elite member i emailed a complaint to marriott but got no response.

The hotel offers a magnificent experience. The room and bathroom were clean, neat, and fresh. Service, from check-in to check-out, exceeded the standards of a 5-star hotel. Check-in and check-out were efficient and quick, with all staff members being polite and smiling. The individual who handled our luggage provided superhero-level service. Our stay on Thursday, 18/7/2024, was truly outstanding. Thank you.
