The Matthews House

My husband and I had our reception at the Matthews House and we have nothing but amazing things to say about this venue! The venue is gorgeous inside and outside and has a wonderful charm that makes it extra special! Sarah, the owner, is wonderful to work with and she made our wedding planning process such a breeze! It is such a wonderful plus that this venue offers a day of coordinator too! This venue is in the heart of downtown Cary so it is a great location! We used there in house caterer for our dinner buffet and the food was delicious! This venue is great!!

The Matthews House was a great location for our September wedding. Sarah and her team were very communicative and helpful through the planning process and the day of to make sure everything went smoothly. The grounds were beautifully maintained and made for lovely photos, with lots of background options. Lastly, the dinks were delicious, and the bar staff was wonderful with our guests. No regrets choosing The Matthews House for our wedding!

My husband and I chose to have our wedding at the Matthews House and it was the best decision we ever made. The location is wonderful, all of our out of town guests loved being able to walk to the venue, restaurants, coffee shops, etc from their accommodations during their stay. The venue itself is beautiful (I don't have all of my professional photos yet but make your photographer take photos of you in the upstairs bathroom/tub!!!). Sarah the owner is kind, easy to communicate with, caring, and wonderful. She was so helpful throughout the whole process (I planned my own wedding and it was so easy - they even have their own storage unit of decor so you don't need to buy anything!). Jannette was the wedding coordinator (included in the package) and my day would not have been as special without her help, guidance, and patience. She made everything run smoothly the day-of. I literally didn't worry about ANYTHING. She was detailed and meticulous and caring. My review could go on and on. Thank you to Sarah and Jannette, my day was perfect!

We had our Alice in Wonderland themed wedding 2/4/22. Everyone was so helpful throughout the process and the venue was absolutely perfect. Everything felt like a fairytale once you walked on the property. They have ample parking, they have the best coordination with vendors. The day of the wedding they handled everything with my caterers, decor, cake and my wedding party. The Matthews house in Cary really is an all in one venue that I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to hold their own Wedding. Thank you for the memories!

Just had our wedding here (12/12/21) and it turned out better than perfect!! Sarah helped so much getting us in touch with caterers, organizing decor, seating, just about everything! On the day of, she assisted with our wedding party, ceremony and everything alike. The venue was the perfect pricing and setting for the dream wedding we were wanting!! If you are in search for a stunning venue, amazing owners, and great value, look no further!! I can’t recommend this place enough, thank you!!!

We went to a Memorial Service at The Matthews House today. The buffet was outstanding. The hushpuppies were crisp, but not greasy, the cornbread had just the right amount of sweetness, and the macaroni and cheese tasted as if it were homemade! Compliments to the chef!

Right in the heart of downtown Cary, Prohibition(fmr)/Hearsay is a cocktail spot nestled in the heart of the Matthews House. It is absolutely GORGEOUS. The perfect spot for a quiet drink with friends, lounged on the veranda or tucked in one of the several stunning dining rooms with lush seating. Benefit from the beauty of this wedding venue on a weekday evening! Take a peek at the menu - it is to die for!!! So so many options for both boozy and non-alcoholic preferences! I feel like we are in on a secret knowing this place exists. For those with sensory issues, auditory processing disorders, or just system overwhelm from a stressful day, this is a great pick! Staff couldn't be more gracious.
