Rooftop 220 - Tampa, Florida

We had our wedding at Rooftop 220 last month and it was such an incredible experience. We had just under 50 guests, and this felt like the perfect space for that amount of people.

The venue is stunning. None of our guests were from Florida, so we wanted to host at a place that was impressive and interesting for guests to show up to. This venue definitely delivered on that. You get access to the amazing outdoor space which overlooks the river and the amazing property Armature Works has put together down below.

The staff we worked with were so helpful, always accommodating us and making themselves available whenever we had questions. Special shout out to Madison McAfee who was the best event coordinator at the venue we could have asked for. We had a lot of moving parts for our wedding since we were hosting it at this venue but were coming from England. Madison went out of her way to help us with anything that we needed.

The night was magical and everything we could have hoped for. I can’t say enough good things about it. We nearly booked another venue for our wedding, and when our desired date was snatched up by someone else, we went seeking other venues, and that’s when we found Rooftop 220, and we are so happy we did.

If you book here for any event, you will not be disappointed.

If I could give any tips as an out-of-towner, it would be:

1. Let your guests know more about parking. We thought parking outside the venue was free, but there was an event on and it was $10 and at some point was at capacity.

2. If you aren’t doing a first look, be careful inside the space, as there is a mirror on the wall in the hallway and my fiancé caught a glance of me in it before the ceremony.

3. Tell any guests wearing heels to not wear thin/stilettos, as they can get caught in the wooden panels of the dance floor area.

4. If you want any solo photo shots, arrive and start them early. I did mine 30 minutes before guests were meant to arrive, and some of my guests were down below at other parts of Armature Works and they saw me on the rooftop before officially arriving for the event.

A great venue for events! I just DJ'd for a Sweet 16 and it has a great view of an interesting part of town and the river, and very customizable space. Cool rooftop garden aesthetic as well.

Above it all! This is a nice space and would be comfortable for groups of under 75. The main draw has to be the views. The open air patio area overlooks Armature Works to the North East and Ulele to the South. The birthday celebration I was hired to record was catered by Salt Block. They did a fine job. The nitrogen Ice cream was great entertainment and very tasty!

Beautiful view of the water under the stars. First time there for a private party and we had a great time. The bartender made an excellent Old Fashioned.

I was a part of a small (70 guest) wedding here and it was absolutely perfect!! The water, the outdoor indoor feel, the sun shining, everything just made for the most beautiful backdrop to this awesome union. The professional pics taken here came up magazine level stunning!! I can’t say more great things about this place. I will say the parking situation isn’t the best but other than that it’s a great spot in a great area.

This is a review of the ground floor park on a Saturday afternoon, not the rooftop event space:
+ chess and other games for kids
+ excellent Margheritas @ $10
+ turf which is cleaner and warmer for the kids to sit on and play on
+ lots of parking outside
+ sofas + chairs + drinks + live music + games = outdoor party for families with young kids
