Auf den ersten Blick ein nettes Hotel in guter Lage. Auf den ersten Ton eine Zumutung. Wände dünn wie Papier, Klimaanlagen laut wie Flugzeugmotoren - nur der Jetlag ließ uns schlafen. In den Fotos sieht man zudem immer nur das hübsche Rezeptionsgebäude. Die meisten Suiten befinden sich aber im schnörkellosen Industriebau drumherum. Als DZ sind diese durchaus groß und gut eingerichtet. Die Poolanlage ist nicht der Rede Wert, ebensowenig das Frühstück. Nicht weiter schlimm, da die Galleria nur wenige hundert Meter entfernt ist. Alles in allem für einen kurzen Zwischenstopp ok, je nach aufgerufenem Preis. Aber die meist überschwenglichen Berwertung sind definitiv zu viel des guten.

Das Zimmer hat mit seiner Selbstverpflegungsausstattung dennoch den Charakter und die Qualität eines Luxuszimmers, alles ist freundlich, einladend und stilvoll und das Frühstück und das Personal hervorragend. Ich würde jederzeit wieder buchen!

Residence Inn Houston by The Galleria offers a really good experience for the price. The location is perfect, especially if you want to be close to the Galleria area. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the overall stay was pleasant. The service was great too, with friendly staff ready to help.

For the money, it's absolutely worth it. If you're looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Houston, this is a solid choice!

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. The air conditioning in the room I was first put into didn't have working AC and was inundated with black mold. The room was truly disgusting. ||I requested a room change and was while the AC was working in this one... it had an infestation of ants. They were everywhere. The room was so dirty with stains on the carpet, couch and walls. ||Both rooms were "executive suites" by the way. |I was shocked by the cleanliness of this hotel. Will 100% never return.

9/28/24 at about 8:30am. I stopped at the front desk and spoke to staff member Gabby about my confirmation for my stay over which she informed me that she did not see in the system. She then went on to mention that $17.50 will come out of my incidental rate because there is a parking fee daily. I explained to her that that was fine, but I was inquiring about my stay over and not about the parking. Again, she advised me that there was nothing in the system. I explained to her that she can leave it as it is as I was unsure about staying an additional night anyway after making the reservation previously. I then asked Gabby if she saw my 4 o’clock checkout in the system that was requested the day before with representative Gina (A platinum elite Reward for members Benefit) which she also claimed wasn’t in the system. I checked in between 1 and 2pm and explained to Gabby that the representative says that she entered it in the system at that time. Gabby then essentially wanted to argue with me that she was there between one and two and she didn’t enter that in system. I explained to Gabby that she wasn’t the one to check me in. I requested for her to check the system and see what time I checked in which she stated 2 o’clock. That is how I received the name of Gina. The night of my stay I cut my feet twice on the bed railing under the mattress (see photos) so it’s possible that things happen for a reason. I found Gabby‘s attitude to be very condescending and she did not apologize for being wrong so I wanted to share my experience. I have been a Bonvoy member for many years and rarely leave horrible reviews. This was earned.

Besides the bed cutting up my feet and the inadequate customer service that I received this morning. The stay was all right.

I stayed here for 2 nights after the derecho storm left my home without power. This is a great location in the Galleria and convenient. Access in and out of parking lot was easier than expected. Check in was quick and efficient and I was given easy to understand instructions for accessing my room (hotel is a courtyard layout). Room was very cold when I entered which was extremely appreciated considering it was 100 degrees outside. Room was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with necessities including a coffee maker. Bed was medium comfortable (a little firmer than I would like). I brought my dog and there was a pet relief area by the parking. Had to compete with cleaning staff for the elevators a few times. But i would stay here again.
