Das Hotel liegt zentral in Long Beach direkt in der nähe der Kongresshalle. Die Zimmer sind schön groß und in einem guten Zustand. Das Bad ist einfach aber auch in einem guten Zustand (es gibt kein Duschgel). Der Fitnessraum ist groß und alles da was das Herz begehrt. Die Bar im Hotel ist gut und das Essen ganz ok. Der Pool ist klein und nicht schön aber sauber. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Es gibt sogar einen deutsch Sprachigen Mitarbeiter!||||Für Marriott bonvoy Member: Das Hotel hat eine Lounge, die ist aber sehr einfach gehalten genau wie die Speisen und Getränke. ACHTUNG in den USA müssen die alkoholischen Getränke in der Lounge bezahlt werden.

Das Hotel ist relativ günstig. Gut eingerichtet und in guter Lage. Queen Mary, Aquarium und Catalina Landing schnell zu errechen. Auch der Airport in LA (LAX) liegt nur etwa 30 Minuten entfernt.Frühstück ok. Sehr praktisch ist auch das Parkhaus direkt neben dem Hotel und mit dem Hotel verbunden. Fitnesscenter ok. Zimmer mit Seaview und höhere Etagen bieten guten Blick. Pool allerdings ab nachmittags im Schatten.

Marriott Downtown is newly renovated and has become a jewel of Long beach. My room was spacious and comfortable, well appointed in all expectation. I walk with canes and the disable features are discreet and very useful. They have an M Club now and the food there was especially tasty, and innovative. Quiche, Mini Beef Wellington, pesto mozzarella. At 7.30 desserts were offered. As an extensive traveler I usually dine at restaurants but the hotel served excellent food and I entertained there twice this trip. Breakfast offered Salmon Eggs Benedict, which was the best I have had. The hotel location at Ocean and Pine makes it a quick stroll to many good local restaurants as well. I have been staying at the hotel when it was a Renaissance, the staff welcomed me back and continue friendly and helpful. They are just completing their extensive renovations but their effort really shows in a lovely lobby. In my many decades of travel this was an excellent stay. It is now the best hotel in Long Beach, and compares well to any I have stayed in, throughout the USA and overseas.

Amazing Marriott property!!! I was thoroughly impressed with the level of service, friendliness of all the staff, and the cleanliness of the property. Very supportive of assisting with breast milk storage. It is perfect for access to the conference center. Even though there was construction and remodeling occurring, it was clean and never disruptive. The rooms were functional, stylish, and impeccably cleaned as well. Will definitely be recommending it to anyone headed to Long Beach.

We absolutely loved our stay! We visited the area for my sister's 40th birthday girls trip. I called Marriott ahead of our stay and let them know the occasion, they really impressed us! We chose the area because we wanted to see Catalina Island. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is amazing! Sage was especially kind to us and helped create the best memory for us girlies, she gave us a great view of the harbor! The room was always kept clean, the hotel felt safe, and my sisters really liked being able to use the destination credit at the market in the lobby, so easy and good variety for snacks. Highly recommend.

Review of Marriott Long Beach Downtown: A Terrible Experience

My stay at the Marriott Long Beach Downtown was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Upon check-in, the hotel took my credit card for incidental charges. However, the next day, they withdrew a destination fee without prior authorization, permission, or even informing me. When I questioned this, they explained that the fee is mandatory for each night of stay.

I requested that this fee be charged to a different credit card and that the initial charge be refunded. While they agreed and processed the new charge, they never refunded the money taken from the first card. Despite numerous follow-ups over two months, including several promises of a refund and periods of complete silence, the issue remains unresolved. As a result, I ended up paying this unjustified destination fee for every night and even double-paid for the first night.

I have no idea how this hotel is part of the Marriott chain. I am accustomed to a much higher level of professionalism from Marriott, but this location is the worst. This hotel operates like a scam, demonstrating a complete lack of professionalism. They essentially steal money from your credit card without permission. I strongly advise avoiding this hotel at all costs to avoid hidden fees and the risk of being financially exploited.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Marriott hotel in downtown Long Beach, and I must say that one of the highlights of my experience was the exceptional service provided by Rey at the front desk. From the moment I checked in, Rey went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was nothing short of perfect.

I've stayed at this property plenty of times while it was the Renaissance Long Beach, now it's completely renovated and it's absolutely gorgeous. They are still in the process of renovating but the experience does not dissipate despite the hotel's transformation in progress. Everyone on the service staff is very nice and the grounds are well kept. The beds are very comfortable and the parking is pretty convenient. But above all, the help, delightful and attentive service I receive each time from a young lady named Lilia is always nothing short of excellent. She was very sweet everytime I called to the front desk, helped me place a non-traditional in-room dining order without hesitation (due to my dietary restrictions) and really just makes my family feel welcome each time we stay. Because of associates like Lilia(and an older gentleman named Rod is amazing too), I actually get excited every time I need a room in Long Beach and see that this property has availability. I will definitely be back again and again, thank you Marriott Downtown Long Beach!
