We had our wedding here in July. Great venue and pretty good pricing! Beautiful water feature and bridge in the back.

You should know the venue is bare bones, so you'll need to get your own decorations to spruce the place up. We bought sun shades which were definitely necessary to keep the sun from beating down during the ceremony. There is no power source outside, so our ceremony was acoustic. It was tough to hear the singers and minister at times. I'd recommend bringing a generator and getting a sound system to mic up the speakers.

The venue does supply the white chairs for the outdoor ceremony and all the tables and chairs inside for the reception. Since it's a LA City Park, you do have to go through their specific alcohol vendors which can be a little bit pricier.

Overall great staff that's able to answer all your questions via email.

I worked a wedding as a dj at this venue. Decent place. They don’t provide much except the hall, not the fanciest place. But better than many I’ve been at. They do make u shut the music off pretty early. 10:45 this time.

Our walk in Elysian park and in proximity of the lodge was very relaxing. Nearby, you can see a lovingly maintained garden area. It even offered refreshment for your canine friend.

The park is quite expansive. Therefore, social distancing was not too difficult to maintain. Fellow visitors to the park were conscious of COVID-19 and wore a mask on this Saturday afternoon in early March 2021.

This banquet hall is named after a park activist who helped save Elysian Park from commercial development. Her love of open space, insured for the citizens of Los Angeles, that a huge Convention Center, would not be built in the middle of the park. She passed away a couple of decades ago, never knowing that this facility was going to be built in her name. Currently closed for landscape renovation along with irrigation upgrades.

Some people don’t like following the rules, for example, not smoking in a public park, and then they make threats to employees for just doing their jobs. I’ve met enough service members to know they definitely will make threats and use their position to back those threats. Your “boys” aka grown as men should know better. Follow the rules and your event will go smoothly and won’t be shut down early
