Operationally, this place is a disaster. Which is a shame, considering the potential the coworking space can offer startups and businesses. Advice to the board and hiring, please hire someone with actual operations experience. There were a lot of processes I had to go through with membership, that didn’t feel up to business standards. It seems like a lot of the inner workings in admin side seemed chaotic, or some workers didn’t understand anything to do with tech.

Geekdom offers an exceptional workspace environment that goes beyond just providing physical office space. It's a vibrant community hub where collaboration thrives, fueled by a diverse network of individuals with a wealth of knowledge and experience. My nearly two years working on the 8th floor were truly remarkable. Even during the uncertain times of Covid from 2020 to 2022, I always felt comfortable and safe, thanks to the proactive precautions taken by Geekdom and the team.

I don't understand the other reviews. Are they fake? Or, people paid to give them 5 stars? Or maybe they're just people who run the place that are giving the business five stars? Anyway, I thought this place would be ideal to meet some people that I could collaborate with concerning my new company that I just started. Upon paying the monthly fee to join I was introduced to their slack channel, in which case I was able to chat with a lot of the members there. And I did. The vast majority of people (as in 99% of people) that I spoke to seem to have the mentality of high school kids. Very unprofessional, and as a previous reviewer noted about the new members orientation, no one was talking to anyone. I tried to talk to a few people there but no one seemed interested in wanting to talk about anything not related to beer or partying... and this is what passes for a "professional space"?

The mentality of this place reminded me of being on Facebook.... I stayed for 4 months but consistently found it was not a professional space in any way shape or form, and I did not find anyone to collaborate with concerning my company, despite attending events as well as reaching out on their slack channel. I really thought I could find some business Partners here but like I said the five star reviews for this place are either being generated by people being paid, or they're just all out fake reviews.

The only thing I noticed a lot of reviewers did say that is true is that the parking is horrible. I believe it is around $7 an hour to pay for parking so if you're there all day be ready to pay a lot of money... I'm really upset and can no longer trust reviews on the internet, because they obviously are not telling the "true story".

Over the course of my life, I have started and sold eight businesses and thought that this would streamline the process, but I couldn't have been more wrong.

Again the reviews for this place are extremely deceptive and misleading. What I read from the five star reviews is 180° different than what I experienced over the course of 4 months consistently making contact with various people whether on the slack Channel or in the building throughout the day.
Oh and last but not least - they don't give refunds. I could have put that money to a lot better use - lesson learned. ?

This is the heart of the tech district in downtown San Antonio. There is a super relaxed start up vibe that just floods the surrounding area. Everyone here is super positive and open to talking about their work. Love it. It's a great place to get feedback on business ideas, get trainings and also make use of a co working space. Amazing, highly recommend.
