Original Quaker Meeting House was built here in 1856. Quakers have been worshiping and working on Social Justice issues ever since...
I'm pretty sure they call themselves 'Friends' because there will always be someone here that is willing to help you out...not matter what the problem...
There is something to be said for a Faith Community that holds the fair and equal treatment of all humans as a core tenant...We need more of that in the world right now!

This historical QUAKER MEETING HOUSE is phenomenal. They also have a 4 STAR CHILDCARE CENTER on the lower level. Great for having business meetings.A lot of business offices if you’re a small business. Multiple size conference rooms. Front desk attendees are also very helpful about the history of this historic building.

Lovely historical meeting venue in center City Philly. Rents meeting spaces for groups of a few individuals to 700 and office space to over 40 non-profits. Friendly helpful staff. Open high speed internet. Close to public transport hub and a privately owned parking lot across the street offers a discount to friend center visitors. Ask the front desk staff to validate your parking ticket. Love this place.

We had the most fabulous experience hosting our wedding ceremony at the Friends Center. From start to finish, their staff was professional, kind and accommodating. We were so lucky to work with amazing people who helped our dream of the perfect Quaker wedding ceremony come true.

Special shoutouts to Shakirah, who helped us plan and arrange the big day, and Joe, who helped us execute every little detail. Joe and his colleague Teneshia, did also go above and beyond helping out the day of the event, carrying things, setting things up, making sure doors were open and people were flowing properly.

The space in the Race Street Room is beautiful, grand but simple, and the perfect room for a large Quaker ceremony.

Thank you to all of the staff who helped make our wedding ceremony perfect!
