I will let the photos speak for themselves, but additionally my experience here has led me to strongly advise prospective tenants against moving here. When I first saw reviews on the building I thought the negatives probably outweighed the positives, however, I understand now.

The dishwasher in my unit was broken for SIX MONTHS. During this time that I had to plead with property management (Esther) and deal with a sick parent, I was made aware that a brand new appliance meant for my unit sat for weeks in the building. It wasn’t installed because Esther allowed it to sit, requested staff leave it and not install, and even asked during this time if I was sure I knew how to operate the appliance correctly…

Working remotely, there’s been countless times I’ve had my workday interrupted from a lack of cohesive management. This has looked like numerous water shut offs, some with a highly questionable timeline legally. This has also looked like a ceiling that dripped for months and when it was finally fixed after maintenance requested support, it came as a surprise in the middle of the day. Most recently this comes as an email that all vehicles will now require parking permits, effective today with risk of being towed, even though there’s been no prior email or notification about this policy going into effect for residents.

Staff have left and continue to make plans to leave because of property management. The building feels pseudo safe, and there have been several incidences such as alarms going off at night, random after midnight knocks, and the handles being completely ripped off. I’ve had neighbors in surrounding buildings share that even they were aware of the poor building management and had people move into alternate surrounding buildings because of it. So many people have moved out with one catalyst being the pool being closed for most of the summer on pretty short notice and one of two elevators being out of service for months. While I’ve met some nice neighbors, this is not the place you want to be.

From my understanding the building was a part of the Greystar portfolio (which explains a lot!) and has been recently sold— overall this is not a building I would invest in. I take the stairs almost everyday and the cracking concrete floors seem too premature for such a new building amongst the other drawbacks. I really don’t leave reviews often, however it feels like a PSA to warn people what they’re up against. Choose another spot—don’t go for the faux luxury.

I find it hard to reconcile other reviews on this site with my experience of renting an apartment here during 2022. Maybe I was just unlucky? The apartments and location are pretty straightforward. You'll either like them or not. The price is the price, you'll either like it or not.

That's not why I've given 2 stars. My disappointment is with the customer service I've received throughout my lease. I will not mention names but one individual in particular is borderline rude and certainly unprofessional. Correspondence goes to a generic email so you get responses from different individuals and are never sure who you are emailing. The strategy seems to be one of "soft cop, hard cop".

It was without an ounce of sadness that I terminated my lease. It took 4 months (!) for me to get my deposit returned and only after persistent chasing and a number of mistakes on their part.

Maybe I was just unlucky? You deserve a better experience.

Thank you Blanca for helping us with moving in so quickly. We forgot to reserve the elevator on move in date but when we called, she reminded us and blocked it out right on time. She quickly responded with any questions we had and so glad to be part of the neighborhood

New to The Desmond neighborhood !!
Leasing department was great with communication throughout my entire move in process .
Lucky me to have moved in during a Crawfish boil that the property manager Esther was hosting ! She’s awesome and welcomed me with open arms ..
Residents are cool , well most of them !
Love spending time writing from the amazing roof top view they have !
Oh and nights by the fire place, relaxing in the jacuzzi have been amazing …

I love the design and architecture of the building, amazing common areas such as rooftop, the pool . Area around is also ok.

What I didn’t like is always smth broken such as doors around the building, facade construction for the year, constant dirt and dust caused by that in the apartment and around the building and false information given by management, at the same time zero admitted responsibility for financial losses for that. Management seems helpful and friendly at the start, but make no mistake - nobody here wants to help you or to take responsibility for their actions and your losses due to their incompetence…

I would not recommend long lease - make it short only if you can ( if )
