I had a very mixed experience at this Marriott. It would take a long time to go through all the details, but I struggled with service people speaking disrespectfully to me, lots of noises waking me up in the early mornings, and a generally frustrating experience.

My father and I are one of the top-tier levels at the Marriott, but since the account is not in my name, I think people struggle allocating me the same respect. I was not informed about the concierge lounge location, even when I went to the front desk to purchase a drink. I paid for the soda, but still received a 9 AM phone call that woke me up from a deep sleep because they had not properly charged my credit card. The next morning, I was woken up by an alarm that went throughout the building at 7 AM. I stayed at this location because it was close to downtown and close to a theater where one of my plays was performing. This requires late nights, and all I really needed was good sleep. I spent a lot more points and money to be so close to downtown, but it was overall a very uncomfortable experience. You can hear through all the walls, and I could listen to every single phone conversation my neighbor was having. When he finally moved out, I could hear every word from the Marriott TV coming directly into my bedroom. When I put in requests or walked the half mile to go to the front desk, I was met with occasional eye rolls and annoyance.

On the other hand, the main lobby of the hotel is absolutely beautiful, and it seems that everything is maintained very well. The gym was very nice, and I generally had the gym to myself. It’s the best location in relation to downtown, and I could walk to the places I needed to go. They also had a shuttle back-and-forth from the airport.

First visit to Augusta and the location was perfect for us. The hotel is a little older but it gave it some charm. The service was great, from the sweet smile and welcoming attitude from the young man that we met in the elevator to Kevin the bartender who saved our evening by giving us a wine bottle opener so that we could open our bottle in our room. Him and his co worker provided us with great customer service and made us and the other guests at the bar feel right at home.

Very nice hotel, easily connected to the convention and meetings I was attending. Easy parking, good price point. Check in and out were easy, hotels worked well. Room was adequate, I looked out on the internal roof, I'm sure others had water views or city views. Bed was fine and room was quiet. Hotel restaurant was good, but other places in walking distance, although the surrounding area in not as safe as desired. Conference hotel rate was expensive.

Location and service are great. This hotel is my go to for when I visit Augusta, but rooms are dated. Gaps between doors and jambs are quite wide. I always felt safe and got a good night’s sleep regardless. The concierge lounge is a huge plus for business travelers!

Overall good experience at this property. Rooms and hotel overall is dated but they do a good job keeping it clean and well kept. Location is great adjacent to Riverwalk and food at restaurant is good especially breakfast which is reasonably priced. Overall I had a very pleasant stay.

To: Marriott Augusta Convention Center CEO, General Manager |It is with tremendous chagrin that I am typing this review. Sadly, the received discounted contract, through participation with the preferred AAA travel program, was poorly executed. Conflicting pricing regarding the final grand total, poor water pressure, and minimal bedding, are also other issues of concern. The room requested at the time of purchase was not provided as stipulated upon arrival, for the 2 night, 3 day July 2024 stay. A modest roll up bed was placed in the room at some point while no occupants were present and, subsequently an alarming security breach occurred. Appropriate measures are currently not in place to effectively handle ethical matters regarding video footage and/or locating, recovering personal property of clients. Incident reports should be made available in person, not just online. Also, simply asking an employee an investigative question regarding an issue does not guarantee a truthful answer in return. Additionally, the lack of concern was evident by the overall abysmal response of the hotel. In the near future I hope that prompt and immediate steps will be implemented. Credit compensation of at least 100$ respectfully, either reward points or gift cards of equivalent cost value should be given when incidents are proven. As well as, all arrival entrance door security footage should be reviewed to restore consumer trust with the organization. These are needed and reasonable solutions for the company to consider. The best hotel in Augusta by far. Within walking distance from all the wonderful dining options downtown. Rooms are spacious and what you would expect from a Marriott. Great staff that is managed well and always a pleasure to interact with.||On this stay they had a smell that was o overpowering it lingered through out the convention center and into the lobby. Not sure what in the world died but the hotel had a smell of death that lingered for two days straight. ||It is a nice hotel that is aging in the heart of Augusta, Georgia. Elevators not working and constant signs of repair needed.

Nice hotel, but it is older and does not have good noise control in the rooms. I was in a room that had an adjoining room and could hear everything the other room was saying and doing, including using the bathroom.

I opted to have my room cleaned during my stay. The only make the bed but do not empty trash cans or replace the used complementary pillow sprays or lotions.

There is no complementary breakfast or snacks. I find this strange because lower costing hotels provide this service.

All employees are very friendly and have great customer service skills.
