Wir haben eine Nacht hier verbracht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Das Hotel ist sehr modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Unser Zimmer (1 King Bed) war recht gross mit sehr schönem Badezimmer, einem sehr bequemen Bett mit schöner Daunen Bettdecke und kostenlosem Internet.||||Der Check In verlief recht zügig und sehr freundlich und man gab uns auch noch gute Tipps, was Restaurants in der Nähe betrifft.||||Das Valet Parken mit USD 28,- pro Nacht fand ich zwar etwas überteuert, aber leider durchaus üblich in Downtown Hotels.||||Wir würden dieses Hotel immer wieder buchen!

Während meinem Aufenthalt in Phoenix verbringe ich 4 Nächte im Hotel Westin Phoenix Downtown. Die Fahrt vom Flughafen Sky Harbour zum Hotel dauert nur wenige Minuten. Das Haus ist und wirkt sehr neu und gepflegt, die Mitarbeiter sind allesamt typisch amerikanisch-freundlich. Chek-in problemlos und zügig, die Zimmer ausreichend groß und gut ausgestattet: angenehmer Fernsehsessel mit Fusshocker, seperate Sitzecke, Schreibtisch mit 2 Bürostühlen, Badezimmer mit großer Walk-in Regendusche und optisch getrennter Toilette. Im Hotel befindet ein Restaurant (Provence) welches den ganzen Tag über eine gute und abwechslungsreiche Küche bietet. Auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis kann als sehr gut bezeichnet werden. Das Gym im Haus ist sehr gut und mit Geräten der neuesten Generation ausgestattet, hoch oben befindet sich ein Outdoor-Pool, welcher zwar nicht riesig groß, aber dennoch ausreichend ist.

Hatte die Gelegenheit 3 Nächte im Westen Phoenix Downtown zu übernachten und war begeistert. Die Lage ist toll - genau in der Innenstadt - und die Straßenbahn direkt vor der Tür. Vom Flughafen leicht mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel zu erreichen. Zimmer sind riesig, Betten sehr bequem, Ein bequemer Sessel, ein Sofa ein Schreibtisch und ein sehr großer TV ergänzen die Einrichtung. Großes Bad (ohne Wanne). Schrank mit Tresor. Habe sehr gut geschlafen und war jeden Morgen fit. ||||Was nicht so gut war: Wifi wird berechnet. Kaffee wurde nicht aufgefüllt. Die Straße, besonders die Busse, sind leider sehr gut zu hören. AC nur in der Temperatur zu verstellen. ||||Insgesamt war ich aber sehr zufrieden.

Wir waren für zwei Nächte in diesen Hotel. Es ist schön, modern eingerichtet und hat große Zimmer und Schöne moderne große Bäder. Der Consierge ist sehr hilfsbereit. Nach dem anfänglich der Wlan Zugriff kostenpflichtig gewesen wäre, meine er wir sollten und doch im Westin Hotel Programm anmelden, dann würde es umsonst sein. Also gemacht und gut. Die weiteren Tips von Ihm zu den Lokalitäten waren allesamt gut. ||Der Poolbereich ist ok. Über unsere AAA Karte sind wir bei der Bezahlung sogar um die Gebühr für das Valetparken gekommen. Summasumarum alle sehr hilfsbereit. Eine Empfehlung

Im März 2011 eröffnet. Neues, sehr geschmackvolles, sehr großzügiges Hotel in Downtown Phoenix. ||||Erfüllt absolut die Ansprüche eines 4-Sternehotels. Hotelpersonal äußerst zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit (viele Tipps). Große Zimmer, tolles Bad, super Blick über die Stadt, schönes Fitnessstudio (Mineralwasser und Kopfhörer umsonst), kleiner aber netter Pool. Gerne wieder... Empfehlung: Matt's Big Breakfast und Pizzeria Bianco ganz in der Nähe. 🙂 ||||Eintiger kleiner Minuspunkt: man hätte uns sagen müssen, dass das Valet-Parking hier nicht kostenfrei ist, als wir nach Parkmöglichkeiten fragten - denn davon gibt es in der Umgebung genügend kostenfrei am Straßenrand. Da es unsere 1. USA Reise war, muss man sich den Fehler aber auch ein wenig selbst zuschreiben mangels Erfahrung 😉

The view was beautiful. The hotel outdoor area, bar, lobby and restaurant are really nice. The room needed a refresher. A few things broken. Not worth the price, but we’re Marriott members or we would’ve chosen a nicer hotel. Valet exceptional.

The one star is mainly for the service I received when I stayed here this week. I could go on and on about the rude and unfriendly services I received while I was staying here with my family. I literally can not believe Westin will even employ people who will argue with the customers. I am a Bonvoy member and this is the first time I have ever been treated so poorly. I was locked out of my room with the keys not working, there was nobody at the front desk to help me. Even the nice valet gentleman tried helping to find someone who can assist with no success. When the lady came out, she started yelling and arguing with me. This level of professionalism should not be tolerated by such establishment. The water pressure in my room was terrible, part of the curtains were missing. I highly encourage you to stay away from this hotel. The location is great and central to everything but you should spend your hard earned money at a hotel that will treat you with respect and kindness. I encourage the management team to please do your screening before hiring your front desk workers. I am so extremely disappointed.

My wife and I recently spent three nights at the Westin hotel in downtown Phoenix. We were there to attend a wedding and selected it based on its location near the wedding events. We booked our stay with Bonvoy points so I can’t comment on the room rate. ||However, I can comment on a $25 Destination Fee that was charged for each day of our stay. This fee includes “thoughtful upgrades to enhance your stay”. (see pic) We had no interest in any of the upgrades and my request to have the fee waived was denied. I found this cash grab to be very off-putting and colored my impression of the Westin during our stay.||The hotel is located in downtown Phoenix in what appears to be the business district. (The hotel itself occupies the top nine floors of an office building.) A ASU satellite campus is nearby as well as various convention and entertainment venues. A Valley Metro light rail stop is directly across the street on Central Avenue. While there are restaurants in the area, the general area was somewhat desolate during our visit.||The actual lobby is quite small with minimum seating, however, there is more seating off to the side of the lobby in the Jacy & Dakota’s restaurant. Check-in staff were friendly and efficient. A dog-leg walk along a corridor brings you to the elevator bank, where you need your room keycard to ascend.||Our room (1827) was very spacious and had a contemporary decor. Behind the four (!) closet doors were: a few drawers, safe, refrigerator, iron/ironing board and fixings for coffee/tea. ||Furniture in the room included wingback chair with ottoman, sofa with C-shaped sofa table, desk with rolling chair and another chair. A large flat screen tv was on a long three-drawer credenza.||The king-size Heavenly® Bed came with four pillows. A padded bench was at its foot. With its pillow top, the bed lived up to its name - it was very comfortable. Flanking the beds were two nightstands, each with drawers and table lamps. A clock on one table had plugs and USB ports.||TIP: If you’re a light sleeper, you may want to avoid rooms numbered XX22 - 29. They face the Van Buren/Central light rail stop and you will be subject to the periodic bell clanging and announcement tones as the trams approach the station.||The AC in the HVAC system worked fine||The bathroom was also very spacious with adequate counter space. There was a separate makeup mirror and hair dryer. (Only) one robe was provided. |Bar soap and body lotion by Westin’s White Tea toiletries were provided.||The large walk-in shower had hand-held and rain shower options. Water pressure and temperature were fine once I figured out how to use them. Wall-mounted bottles of White Tea body wash and shampoo/conditioner were provided.||The hotel also has an outdoor pool, fitness center and business amenities, none of which we used.||We did eat breakfast twice in Jacy & Dakota’s in order to use two of the three $25 credits that were included in the three Destination Fees. But the credits barely made a dent. We visited J & D’s on two mornings for a total of four breakfasts, which came to about $132, including tax and tips. That left us with one $25 credit that we never used.||The food was tasty, but the coffee was a bit too bitter to my taste. The fruit cup was delicious and big enough to share.||Overall, we found our room to be well-appointed and comfortable. However, the Destination Fee cash grab really irked me, so much so that I would not return to the Westin Phoenix Downtown if we were to return to the area.||For more specific details and pictures, visit the hotel’s website.
