Wir waren geschäftlich in dem Hotel untergebracht, Allentown ist jetzt sicherlich kein Ort wo man spektakuläres erwarten kann sondern eher eine ruhige Kleinstadt. Dehalb fand ich auch das 224 ++ volkommen überteuert war. Frühstück war nicht im Preis, es gab kein Buffett unter der Woche und für ein Omlett, Kaffee und O Saft 30 $ ist schon stolz. Wir waren dann lieber im Starbucks gegenüber. Die Einrichtung wie von Marriott gewohnt ok, sauber aber beim Check out die Überraschung das Kosten auf der Rechnung waren, die nicht von mir stammten. Leider waren zunächst auch keine Belege dazu zu finden. Erst nach dem Ruf nach dem Manager und einigen Diskussionen, konnten die Belege aufgtrieben werden und der Fehler wurd korrigiert. Das ganze dauerte 1 h und dafür gab es ein nicht herzlich gemeintes Sorry. Für mich ein NoGo!!

My daughter married at the Renaissance Allentown hotel October 5th. Angela, the wedding coordinator, made it so easy! She is amazing at her job! Her attention to detail was spot on! Maddy, one of the staff for the day, was excellent too. She was there for my daughter, son-in-law and families every need. Such a sweet person with a smile always on her face! We had rehearsal dinner at the Dime restaurant. Even though we didn't get the room we originally booked they prepared another space quickly. The food was excellent.|The following morning all our family and friends decided to have breakfast at the Dime for the brunch. This was not scheduled, but Laurence, in the restaurant was running to get things done for us. He pulled in more tables and even though they seemed short staff, like a lot of work places right now, he made things happen! Thank you to all the staff at the Renaissance who made this weekend the most enjoyable and best time ever with our family and friends! THANK YOU!!|Bride's Mom, Eva

3rd time we’ve stayed here for Christmas week. Staff is very accommodating, with housekeeping bringing necessities at all hours. ADA compliant roll-in shower. Nice view, especially from 10th floor

Splatter stains near trash can. Peeling paint. Water stains in bathroom. Paid extra for room with a view - didn't get that. Other hotel guests warning me, "Do not leave the hotel at night". Our first impressions was it's like little Philly..Kids riding bikes in and out of traffic. People just yelling across the sidewalk at eachother ? It's kind of a depressed area despite all the glamorous photos the hotel posts...It's definitely the nicest hotel in the area, so if you have to stay somewhere, stay here. But we had the option of just driving through and staying anywhere else, and chose here because of the reviews and photos. We didn't stay for breakfast..Bar and food looked great! Love Marriott brand.

Oh and the key situation only proves my point. You have to use your hotel key to do anything, Ride elevators, get access to the hallway your room is in, turn on lights requires you to insert the key card in a special master light switch by the door(probably an energy efficient solution.)

It's a great looking hotel, but the devil is in the details.

I recently photographed a wedding for an absolutely amazing couple. The staff was incredibly attentive, and made sure they were taken care of at all times. Everyone was very professional. The facilities were clean, warm and welcoming. There’s so many interesting little nooks around the hotel for creating incredible imagery for a wedding day.

We stayed here Jan 2023 and loved it so decided to stay here again for our 30th wedding anniversary. |As a titanium member, traditionally especially when the hotel knows you are celebrating an event, they leave a gift or some “special” snacks in the room. This time - nothing (though back in Jan 2023 we had a beautiful fruit platter in our room). |Secondly, when we left for the day on Sunday we ran into housekeeping outside our room. We said hello since they were cleaning the room next door. When we returned that evening, our room had not been cleaned. I called the front desk and was told by the gentleman that there was an emergency with housekeeping so no one got housekeeping that day. This obviously was a lie since i spoke to housekeeping while they were cleaning the room next to ours. When i called him out on that, he was silent. After some pushing, he provided us parking for free which we thanked him for. (I would have appreciated to have him tell me the truth that they skipped my room rather than lie).|Breakfast on Monday in the lounge was horrible. The scrambled eggs were burnt. And when i say burnt i mean that when you opened the top, it reeked. There was barely any bread, no bagels, nothing. For a lounge, this was such a disappointment. |We told the nice lady working the lounge about the eggs and she said she would tell the chef. She brought us a container of eggs but didn’t replace the burnt ones (which was odd). |Overall the only person that was pleasant and super accommodating was the server at the restaurant for breakfast on Sunday. |This hotel was not good at all. We will definitely not stay here again. We were in room 901.

Management response is non existent. The rightfully appointed Asst. Manager responded in place of the Manager. I booked 927 Suite and the roof LEAKED. The Presidential Suite leaked onto my room 927.

I was AWARDED a towel and room cleanup.

I spent 2 hours cleaning and disinfecting my personal care items that had "leaking water from the ceiling" on them.

They DID NOT CLEAN MY ROOM AND DID NOT SWITCH OUT MY SOAKING WET towels from a Titanium Elite client who booked a a Suite.

I'm just saying...

Mistakes happen, real life happens, just OWN your role.

So yesterday we left to go to Allentown for the Godsmack concert so excited to be let down. We traveled 3 hours to our hotel staying at the Renaissance only to be told our room was canceled due to a supposed water leak. The manager Carson Dodge was rude and no help. We never got an apology or anyone who even offered to help. Customer service was absolutely horrible. Supposedly 15 others were affected but I beg to differ with that. We had to watch 2 bus loads of the Fordham Football team get their rooms go figure. We do know of one other as she had the same treatment and to be told we were relocated elsewhere. That was a lie. I was on the phone an hour just to get a refund whom the hotel said they could not do. Another lie because once I was taken care of the gentleman on the phone said he had to get the hotel to agree. This man was very helpful and I told him I'd give him a 5 ? review but the hotel a 0. Needless to say we could not find another room that was dog friendly as we had our dog with us. We had to go home after a very stressful incident and never got to see Godsmack. We paid a lot of money to see them and could not even resell our tickets. What a horrible establishment and they are owned by Marriott. Not a good advertisement for them. Gone are the days when these establishments actually helped their customers.
