We have been staying at Beaver Creek Lodge in September for many years and most of the experiences have been positive. This year was a vastly different story. We booked a one bedroom suite nearly a year in advance. When we checked in, we were given the absolute worst suite in the complex (we've seen many, many of the suites) in Block G, on the garage level at the far end of a hallway that had mainly doors that said "storage" and "trash". There were only 2 other suites. The hallway had a gagging smell of dead animal or something equally horrible. The room was rundown and probably had been decorated in the early 70s. The view out the windows was a wall and the road. We requested a different room but were told the complex was full, which was entirely reasonable for the time of year. The room was clean but their policies seem to have changed over the years and you need to request in advance for your room to be cleaned (new towels, beds changed, etc.) and there are additional charges for that service. ||Also, at check-in, the gents at the desk were so distracted by other conversations that they neglected to take an impression of a credit card for final payment, which we thought was odd. We had it out on the counter but they said we were ok. When we checked out, we requested a copy of the bill and were told that they couldn't print one. We asked if we could just see it on the screen and that wasn't possible either so they said we were ok to go, all checked out. Three days later, we received a phone call saying we forgot to give them our credit card and they would now like it to process the remaining part of our payment. Let's just say that we're debating whether or not we will. Perhaps with an assurance in writing that we will get one of their beautiful suites next year. Although we have now checked out other hotels and rentals in the Beaver Creek Complex and it may be time make a change.||Beaver Creek Lodge has some beautiful suites, lovely indoor and outdoor pools and a gorgeous view from the upper suites. Our advice would be to request a recently renovated room in blocks A, B, C or D and to request that your room be cleaned on certain dates when you first check in.

We had a fantastic stay at the Beaver Creek Lodge. Paul Jeppson and his staff were amazing. Jackie, Gabby and Ahuitzol at the front desk, along with Carol, the Concierge, were so kind and patient in providing information and accommodating requests. Pamela and Kathleen in the restaurant were always so pleasant, personable and such a pleasure to interact with. The location and scenery were incredible and our room was perfect. We were celebrating our 30th Anniversary and Beaver Creek insured we will forever have positive memories

Short and sweet- After a not so good stay at another Marriott property I decided I needed to start writing reviews. Hotel was in a good location, the overall experience was just ok, it was dark and depressing, the gym was nice though. I know we went at a busy time (NYE) the breakfast buffet was boring and not good at all. A la carte menu was not available which was very upsetting.

WOW! This place is amazing. I had a wonderful 3 night stay during the slow season and it was absolutely impressive and stunning. Beaver Creek is a great place for families, singles traveling alone, or a romantic couple get away. Check in was smooth, the staff was incredible and welcoming. Jackie at the front desk went above and beyond to make this stay memorable and special.

This is a sad story, but my wife passed away in a mountaineering accident close to the hotel. My family stayed here the night of, while navigating deep sadness and grief, including having to meet with the Sheriffs office and Coroner, huge shoutout to:||Gaaby|Maya|Brian|Vel|Jaclyn|As well as the restaurant staff that worked that evening.||These members of the staff went above and beyond to care for my family and provide truly excellent and empathetic hospitality.||Truly first class, thank you Beaver Creek Lodge

Overall an amazing location! So much to take in. Rooms are very nice. We visited during the summer and can definitely take time to cool the room down but overall a great experience

After booking a reservation online and receiving a confirmation email, I arrived at the hotel to be told I could no longer have the room at the rate that I had booked at. The front desk employee tried to book me at a much higher rate than the one that I had booked online through Marriott's website. I had driven 7 hours to stay there under the premise that the room was already booked and paid for. They blamed me for a mistake that they had made internally and left me with the choice to pay much more for a room or find somewhere else to stay. I also spoke with the manager who was not the slightest bit helpful and also blamed me for their mistake. Had to find somewhere else to stay last minute. Would never stay there.

Literally worst place ever. Manager was super rude. I arrived there and the front desk said I did not have a reservation. I showed her the reservation confirmation email and provided my Marriott Bonvoy number. Later front desk person confirmed I had a reservation but at a much lower rate that was listed currently and kept saying you must have pressed some button by mistake to get a lower rate. After driving many hours exhausted I was told that they are going to cancel my reservation and I can book at the higher rate. I asked to speak with the Manager who was super rude and did not help at all. I asked her of this code she is speaking of that I booked the reservation through. She explained it was a friend and family code. I asked her if I can ask one of my friends who work for Marriott to send something and she yelled and said I am cancelling your reservation find a different place to stay. It was pouring outside and given we were exhausted and treated horribly we went to another beautiful hotel in the area for much less than what the manager was offering which was much higher than the current listed price on Google. Worst place EVER in my personal experience and opinion.
